Spicy Bacon Cheddar Bean Dip Appetizer

- You can also divide the mixture between two smaller dishes. Bake time will be the same.

You will need the following items to make this recipe:
- Measuring cups and spoons
- sharp knife and cutting board
- medium baking dish
Ingredients:
- 16 oz can refried beans
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup salsa
- 1/4 cup bacon pieces
- 1 tbsp taco seasoning
- 1 ½ cups shredded Mexican blend cheese, divided
- Optional toppings: sliced jalapenos, sliced green onions, chopped cilantro
Directions:
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
- In a large bowl, combine the refried beans, cream cheese, sour cream, salsa, bacon pieces, taco seasoning and half the Mexican blend cheese. Stir well to combine.
- Spread mixture into a medium baking dish, 8×8 inches or smaller.. Top with the remaining 1/2 shredded cheese.
- Bake for 15 minutes, then turn the broiler to high for an additional 1-2 minutes to get the cheese nice and bubbly.
- Remove the pan from the oven, and top with sliced jalapenos, sliced green onion, and chopped cilantro.
- Serve warm with tortilla chips, corn chips or your favorite dipper.
