Adding a new baby to the family is an exciting thing, but it can be a bit hard for a toddler who has never experienced it before. One great way to help your little one adjust to sharing you with a new baby is to let him be your “helper”.
When you have a newborn and a toddler, one of the biggest concerns you may have is, how will you spend time with your toddler when you’re busy caring for a newborn?! How can you make sure your toddler still feels special and not forgotten in this huge transition??
I have seven kids. That means six different times I’ve brought a baby home from the hospital and have had to go through the transition of the “baby” no longer being the “baby.” Not once have I ever had a problem with the newly displaced “baby” have a “new blessing” take over his spot. As in never.
