Kids birthday parties are fun, colorful, and memorable. The food you serve should be too! There are so many fun, festive, and bright kids birthday party foods that I’ve found that your little guests will love. This post will round up 33 yummy birthday treats that you can serve that includes snacks, main courses, drinks, and desserts.
Planning Kids Birthday Party Foods
Whether you are an expert kid’s party planner by now or if you are still finding your groove with throwing birthday parties for kids you will find this post so helpful.
Sometimes when you first jump into mom life you’ve got so many questions and concerns about hosting kid’s parties. Especially if you don’t come from a huge tight family teeming with kids, or if you waited a while before having kids.
Throwing parties for kids is way different than throwing them for adults. The drinks are different, the snacks are different, and you might even be concerned about how much junk food and sugar you serve so that their parents approve and the all the kids don’t end up completely bouncing off the walls at the end of the party.
What I can assure you now as my little ones are getting a bit bigger, the mom party planning DOES get easier the more you do it. And also that having enough snacks is SUPER important.
Sure snacks like a veggie tray and charcuterie board are nice to have at your grown-up get-togethers, but no one is going to have an epic meltdown if there isn’t a constant availability of calories. Kids absolutely will. You never know who came to the party already hungry and which kids eat every 30 minutes regardless but it is best to plan ahead.
There is nothing wrong with having too much food. The leftovers don’t have to do go to waste and there is a good chance that a lot more of it will get gobbled up than you ever anticipated.
